You caught us at our beginning phase! We are in development of the project. We will let you know as soon as our hostel is ready for residents.

We offer:

• Private rooms that are booked per room per night.

• Our community rooms, on the other hand, are booked per bed per night.

• You can also bring your own tents, sleepingbag or hammock to pitch in our garden for a night under the stars!

Driving distance between San Jose Airport (SJO) to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca is 225 km. It takes approximately 4h 7m to drive from San Jose Airport (SJO) to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. We recommend taking the city Coach but there are also flights to Limon airport. Sansa flies into Limon and then you have to take the bus or shuttle to Puerto Viejo. It is a 40 minute flight and costs around $85 USD one way and the shuttle from Limon to PV is about 1.5 hours.

Day passes are available at selected times of the year. A day pass includes access to our Learning Programs, yoga classes as well as credit for food and beverages. Contact us via email or our facebook pages to see if a day pass is available.

At The Sustainable Hostel, we welcome all family members and small children might even stay for free depending on the season.

Please note: minors are prohibited from staying in shared dormitories, unless the entire dorm is booked by the same family.

It is also important to stress that we have a strong party culture meaning that noise levels are higher on weekends. We do however, offer rooms away from social areas so feel free to request one of these rooms.
